Valerie Frey, author of Preserving Family Recipes, How to Save and Celebrate Your Food Traditions, led a discussion at a recent Lunch & Learn held at Ashantilly. Guests were instructed in how to decipher old recipes and what substitutions to use for ingredients no longer attainable. A delightful lunch was served, including homemade peach ice cream for dessert!
