Conservation Practices for Land Owners with McIntosh SEED – Please join us!

On Earth Day morning at 10 a.m. until noon, join McIntosh SEED (Sustainable Environment and Economic Development) at the Ashantilly Center for a Longleaf Pine
Demonstration.

Just off Hwy 99 (Ridge Rd) about 1.5 miles from the Darien Courthouse.

GA Forestry’s Jeff Nesmith will tell you about these beautiful pines. They once had an historic range which once extended from southeastern Virginia to Florida, west through Louisiana all the way to east Texas. It’s a strong wood that was used extensively by early settlers and now landowners are beginning to grow this valuable, sustainable wood again with help from organizations like McIntosh SEED.
