We are excited to announce that Buddy Sullivan will be presenting a three-part historical series about the history of McIntosh County, GA.

The events are scheduled for Sundays, January 5, 12, and 19, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at Ashantilly Center.

Each series will include a slide presentation using images from both private and public collections, and details from the eras in McIntosh County’s rich history.

 

 

 

Buddy Sullivan is a respected historian, author, and expert on McIntosh County and Georgia’s coastal history. Based in Darien, he has dedicated much of his life to researching and documenting the unique heritage of the area, from its early Native American settlements to its days as a center for rice plantations and the fishing industry. His notable work, Early Days on the Georgia Tidewater, is a cornerstone in Georgia historical literature, capturing the complex social, economic, and environmental evolution of McIntosh County.
