It was a lovely afternoon at Ashantilly Center on Sunday, August 18 in Darien, Georgia. We had a house full of nature loving enthusiasts who came to hear Dirk Stevenson’s presentation on the Salamanders of Georgia. He even spent part of his presentation focusing on salamanders of southeast Georgia and the Georgia Coast.

Dirk’s presentation was fascinating and very comprehensive. He brought live salamanders for everyone to view.
There were even some homemade cookie salamanders to enjoy after the presentation.
We were excited to host this presentation sponsored by Coastal WildScapes, which also gave each attendee a native plant.
