As part of Georgia DNR’s Weekend for Wildlife, attendees enjoyed a fascinating tour of Ashantilly Center, the historic Ashantilly Print Shop, and St. Andrew’s Cemetery with esteemed guides Buddy Sullivan and Harriet Langford. At Ashantilly, guests explored the legacy of William “Bill” Haynes, Jr., witnessing traditional letterpress printing in action. The tour continued at St. Andrew’s Cemetery, where Buddy Sullivan shared insights into the lives of notable figures Thomas Spalding his wife, Sarah Leake Spalding.
