Sarah Shebaro at Ashantilly: Summer Artist in Residence
Ashantilly was honored to host Sarah Shebaro of Knoxville, Tennessee as our Summer Artist in Residence. Sarah brought with her an incredible energy, a love for process, and a creative eye that translated beautifully into her time here. Throughout her residency, she immersed herself in the print studio and surrounding landscape.
Using traditional letterpress techniques, Sarah created a series of striking broadsides that highlight her skill in combining bold design, typography, and imagery. Each piece is a conversation between text and form, balancing strong visual elements with the subtle textures of hand-printing. Her work is known for its wit and sharp design sense.
