Savannah British Car Club Visits Ashantilly

The Savannah British Car Club rolled into Darien on Saturday, November 15, for a memorable autumn outing filled with history and coastal charm. Under a clear, gorgeous fall sky, members explored Ashantilly House. They spent time at the historic Ashantilly Press, where they learned traditional letterpress techniques and created their own hand-printed souvenir to take home.

A group of people learning traditional letterpress techniques at Ashantilly Press, gathered around a printing press, with various printing materials visible in the background.

The group enjoyed strolling the grounds, touring the house, and seeing firsthand how Ashantilly preserves its rich legacy of printing and heritage arts. Laughter, curiosity, and the rumble of classic engines made the morning especially lively.

After their visit, the club headed to Oaks on the River for a delicious lunch with scenic views of the Darien waterfront. With full bellies and treasured keepsakes, the drivers made their way back to Savannah, grateful for a beautiful day spent together.

It was a delightful visit, and Ashantilly was honored to host this spirited and enthusiastic group of motoring enthusiasts.
