The Coastal WildScapes Spring Native Plant Sale, held on Saturday, April 11 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the lawn at Ashantilly Center, was truly a beautiful gathering. Set beneath the shade of majestic oaks draped in Spanish moss, the day could not have been more picturesque. The weather was simply perfect, creating an inviting atmosphere for all who attended.
Four native plant vendors offered a wonderful variety of plants, shrubs, and trees, giving garden enthusiasts plenty of options to explore and take home. Whether guests were seasoned gardeners or just beginning their journey with native plants, there was something for everyone.

In addition to the vendors, informative tables were hosted by the UGA Extension Office and the Georgia Native Plant Society Maritime Center. These resources provided valuable knowledge and an opportunity for attendees to ask questions, learn more about native species, and gain insight into sustainable gardening practices.
Inside Ashantilly, refreshments were thoughtfully arranged, including lemonade, water, and mimosas, offering a refreshing pause for guests as they mingled and enjoyed the day.
It was a joyful and engaging event, bringing together community members, plant lovers, and educators in a truly special setting. We are already looking forward to the Coastal WildScapes Fall Native Plant Sale on Saturday, September 19 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and we hope to see you there for another wonderful day under the oaks.
