The Ashantilly Press was filled with creativity, conversation, and community on Thursday, June 4, as dozens of art lovers gathered for a special Meet and Greet with our current Artist-in-Residence, Martin Mazorra.
We were delighted by the tremendous turnout and grateful to welcome both longtime friends of Ashantilly and many new visitors. Guests enjoyed light refreshments while exploring an inspiring collection of Martin’s artwork, including several completed pieces he generously displayed for the occasion.
Martin arrived at Ashantilly on June 1 and will be creating and working at the Press through June 19. The Meet and Greet provided a wonderful chance for guests to connect with Martin, view his work up close, and experience firsthand the vibrant atmosphere of the Ashantilly Press.

We invite everyone to join us once again for Martin’s Closing Reception on Wednesday, June 17, from 4 to 6 p.m. This special event will offer an opportunity to view the artwork he has created during his three-week residency and hear about his experiences at the Ashantilly Press and in Darien.
The reception is free and open to the public, and everyone is encouraged to attend. We look forward to sharing this special occasion with you and celebrating the conclusion of Martin’s residency at Ashantilly.
